Please Don't Feed Me

There was a time we were big and brawny.
Now even some of our Daddies are sickly and scrawny.
On bread and donuts we cannot survive.
If you leave us be, in the woods we will thrive.
This wonderful place hold all of our needs.
Please put away your garbage and urge to feed.
Each time you feed us, our fates you do seal.
I’ll probably be killed just for that meal.
They call us a menace, why I don’t know.
No garbage, no food, I would not go.
Some of you think you’re helping us live.
If it’s praise you want, I have none to give.
I can’t thank you for what you have done.
For bringing us closer to the man with the gun.
I know he must do it to protect your home,
But we have our bounty if you leave us alone.
They’re killing us off one by one.

CAN YOU LIVE WITH THE GUILT OF WHAT YOU HAVE DONE?

You Can Help!

If you know anyone who is feeding bears, call our center or call the DEC office.
